Meet Ken Futch, CPAE
An inductee in the Speaker Hall of Fame, Ken Futch is a charismatic storyteller with a life more captivating than fiction. As the president of Ken Futch and Associates, an Atlanta-based training company, he’s not just a speaker.
He’s a humorist, career coach, and survivor. With over 100,000 people trained across North America and Europe, Ken turns situations into opportunities and opportunities into success.
In 1986, Ken founded his company after a successful stint at at&t, where he outshone 6,000 salespeople and became the No. 1 revenue producer. A former Toastmasters International humor champion and president of the Georgia Speakers Association, Ken delivers over 100 impactful programs annually for global giants like Aflac, Coca-Cola, and GE.
Ken’s educational journey began at his father’s ESSO station in Burgaw, N.C. Despite starting there, he graduated from the University of North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. A lifelong learner, he served as a combat platoon leader in Vietnam after being drafted into the U.S. Army.
In 1993, Ken achieved the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association, a testament to his commitment to education and experience. He’s also the author of “Take Your Best Shot,” a 2005 book using his infamous mishap—accidentally shooting himself in the head—as a powerful metaphor for turning situations into opportunities. Ken Futch’s journey is not just a story; it’s an inspiring lesson in resilience and success.
